Catching up...

Oh where to begin...
I guess I should start with all that has happened since the end of September...so here goes.
I started my new job on Sept. 30th, 2008 and it is going well. I like it, but when it comes to what I do it really doesn't matter where I work, it's the people that matter. And the people I work with are cool for the most part, even if they (the company in general) is a little behind the times technologically!!
So Oct was pretty uneventfully, just adjusting to being back at work and having an actual schedule to follow again!
November brought about a little more adventure. The big 31 was during that month. I'd love to tell you about it, however, I don't remember very much of it. So you'd have to talk to some of the people that were there to find out the details. From what I remember I had a good time! Then for Thanksgiving I flew up to NY to spend the holiday with Kelly. It was freaking cold and snowing in upstate NY...totally reminded me why I live in FL! But Kelly came back down with me to spend 10 days here. I'd say it was a good time, but I was super sick pretty much the whole entire time she was here and we couldn't really do a lot.
December brought more travel as well. I flew up to NY on Dec 19th - yes, during the day that all the flights anywhere into the north were delayed or cancelled. So I spent the night at JFK...not my idea of a great time, but I managed. The trip was good, even though we both knew what the end of it brought. We spent Christmas and New Years together and with friends. Enjoying the time we had together.
I had to leave on Jan 4th and that was the last time I have seen her since she deployed on Jan 8th overseas. It has not been easy, hell, it's been down right horrible. For the first couple weeks all I did and all I wanted to do was sleep. Yvette did her best to make sure I was okay - even though I'm pretty sure she was annoyed with me, but she made sure I ate and at least left the house to go to work!! But I eventually pulled myself out of my funk and started leaving the house for more then work. (Hey, my couch is really comfy and after that 2 weeks is form fitted to my body!!) I have been trying to keep myself busy as of late. On top of the Wednesday night softball team I joined my co-workers on our company team on Tuesday nights. They are fun to play with as they truly only play for fun!
At the beginning of Feb I got super sick again. This time with the fever from hell. I swear it was stuck at 102.6 for almost 2 days. And if you know me, I don't do sick well, especially when I haven't been that kind of sick in many, many years. (I can deal with stomach aches, stuffy heads, etc. but I haven't had a fever in forever!!) But all better now thank goodness!!
The doggies are good and keep me busy - run me ragged is more like it!!! Myles is about to turn 6, then Macie turns 3, followed by Dekkster turning 7. They are getting so big! (Wow, I need a life!!)
I started doing stuff for friends again. Did some serious tree cutting/trimming for one friend. And some serious sprinkler control for another friend. Have been doing my own little projects around the house. Really only have 1 more that I really need to get done and then I'll be a happy camper! Until summer starts and then I get to do my own lawn/landscape work again, which I'm very excited about. In the mean time another friend just bought a house and as soon as she closes I'll have some more projects to fiddle with until the weather brings me my own to do again!
And sadly that sums up the last 4 1/2 months of my life!! I'll try my best to update more often then every 4+ months going forward.
(Oh and if you're reading this and wondering how Kelly is, she is as good as can be expected considering where she is and what she is doing. It's very cold over there and not anywhere close to being fun. But all I can ask for is that she is safe and so far so good. She says hi to all!)
